Andrew Yun Signs With StanfordPosted Tuesday, November 18, 2008 by Coaching Staff Hamilton High School senior Andrew Yun signed a national letter of intent to attend Stanford University for the 2009-2010 season. Andrew's decision to sign with Stanford culminates an extraordinary high school and junior golf career.
Over the last four years Andrew has been an integral part in four consecutive state team championships: 2005 Bellarmine Prep (Wa) 2006 Hamilton Huskies 2007 Hamilton Huskies 2008 Hamilton Huskies He has finished in top fourteen individually in all of them including a second place in 2006 and a third place in 2007. During the 2008 season Andrew was the medalist in the Brophy Invitational, the Ridge Invitational and the 5A-I Super-Regional. Andrew is a three time team captain of the state champion Hamilton Huskies. His junior golf career is just as impressive. Andrew has been selected as a four time AJGA All-American. He is a two time selection to the USA Junior Ryder Cup Teams and has been a three time member of the west squad's Canon Cup team. Andrew has piled up individual tournament wins all over the United States since he was 12 years old. Last summer Andrew was a quarter finalist in the United Stated Junior Amateur played at Shoal Creek Country Club in Alabama. Andrew is just as competitive in the classroom with a cumulative gpa of over 4.0 in a curriculum that has included numerous honors and AP classes.
